Million Dollar Deviled Eggs are a creamy, flavorful twist on classic deviled eggs. Mayonnaise, softened butter, pickle juice, mustard, and garlic powder give the egg yolk filling its rich texture and delicious flavor, finished with smoked paprika.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 large eggs
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons salted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 tablespoon pickle juice
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Smoked paprika, to taste, for topping

Instructions

  1. Boil the Eggs: Place the eggs in a large saucepan in a single layer. Add enough water to completely submerge them. Bring the water to a rolling boil, cover the pan, and turn off the heat. Let the eggs sit for 10 minutes.
  2. Cool the Eggs: Use a slotted spoon to transfer the eggs to a bowl of ice water. Let them cool for 5–10 minutes.
  3. Peel and Halve: Peel the eggs and cut them in half lengthwise with a sharp knife. Use a small spoon to scoop the yolks into a small bowl.
  4. Make the Filling: Add the mayonnaise, softened butter, pickle juice, yellow mustard, and garlic powder to the yolks. Mash with a fork, then whisk until smooth and creamy.
  5. Fill the Egg Whites: Transfer the yolk mixture to a piping bag fitted with a star tip. Arrange the egg white halves on a serving platter and pipe the filling into each hollow.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle with smoked paprika. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

  • Easy Peeling: Do not skip the ice bath. It helps cool the eggs and makes them easier to peel.
  • Add Some Heat: Add a dash of hot sauce or Tabasco sauce to the filling, or garnish with small slices of jalapeño.
  • Optional Toppings: Garnish with chopped crispy bacon or sliced green onions, or keep it simple with smoked paprika.
  • Storage: Store leftover deviled eggs in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
