One-Pan Cheesy Potato Meat Skillet is a hearty and comforting meal made with ground beef, tender potatoes, onions, bell pepper, garlic, herbs, and melted cheese, all cooked together in one skillet.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef (or your choice of ground meat)
  • 3 cups sliced potatoes (about 3 medium potatoes)
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 1 cup bell pepper, chopped (any color)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Skillet: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Cook the Meat: Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until it’s browned, breaking it into smaller pieces as it cooks. Remove the excess grease if necessary.
  3. Add Vegetables: Stir in the chopped onions, bell pepper, and minced garlic. Cook for about 5 minutes, or until the onions and peppers are softened.
  4. Add the Potatoes: Add the sliced potatoes to the skillet and sprinkle with paprika, salt, black pepper, and oregano. Stir well to coat the potatoes with the spices.
  5. Simmer: Cover the skillet with a lid and let it cook on medium-low heat for about 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes are tender.
  6. Add Cheese: Once the potatoes are done, sprinkle the shredded cheese over the top. Cover the skillet again and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve hot.
